South African Advocate and author of the book The Land Is Ours, Tembeka Ngcukaitobi recently attained the legal status of Senior Counsel
Ngcukaitobi was born on 25 December 1976 in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, he studied for a LLB at the University of Transkei (Walter Sisulu University) and a Masters in Law (LLM) at Rhodes University.
The isiXhosa-speaking speaking lawyer was part of the legal team that won the groundbreaking social grants class action suit Ngxuza v MEC for Welfare going all the way to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Ngcukaitobi also represented the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the state capture report case and Zimbabwe’s main opposition leader Nelson Chamisa in his attempt to overturn President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s 2018 election victory.
