MDC VP Tendai Biti says another military coup is a possibility in Zimbabwe if the political problems are not resolved
Biti said dialogue between MDC leader Nelson Chamisa and President Emmerson Mnangagwa was the best way to resolve Zimbabwe’s problems.
The former finance minister was speaking at a SAPES Policy Dialogue Forum in Harare on Thursday, 27 June 2019
Current President Mnangagwa came to power after a November 2017 military coup led by army commander Constantino Chiwenga deposed Robert Mugabe.
Chiwenga retired from the army and was appointed VP by Mnangagwa a position he still occupies although there are reports of tensions between the two.
