Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta fired the country’s Sports minister Rashid Echesa in a mini cabinet reshuffle on Friday, March 1.
Amina Mohammed who was in education replaces Echesa as sports minister. The chairperson of Kenya’s National Examinations Council, George Magoha takes over in education.
Other changes
- Ms Fatuma Hersi replaced as Permanent Secretary of Health with Ms Susan Mochache
- Ali Noor – Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of industry, Trade and Cooperatives.
- Peter Kiplagat- Permanent Secretary Labour.
- Margarette Makima – Permanent Secretary for East African Affairs
- Susan Koech – Permanent Secretary wildlife
