Warrant of arrest for Babes Wodumo after she fails to appear in Durban court for an assault charge

A warrant of arrest has been issued for South African musician Babes Wodumo after she failed to appear in courtroom A at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday, April 5.

Wodumo real name Bongekile Simelane was scheduled to appear before Magistrate Jackie Jonck with co-accused, Thobeka “Tipcee” Ndaba and her sister Nondumiso Simelane on a common assault charge.

The charges against the trio were opened at the Umbilo police station in March by a female friend who alleged that they assaulted her during an argument at a guesthouse in the Umbilo area.

Povonews.com previously reported that South African musician Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo was arrested after a video of him assaulting Babes Wodumo went viral on social media.
