The Democratic Alliance (DA) retained 16 seats, the African National Congress (ANC) retained 4 seats but lost one to the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP), and both Al Jama-Ah and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) retained one seat each.
