Results of the South African municipal by-elections held in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, and Western Cape provinces on 10 April 2019.
There were thirteen by-elections and the African National Congress (ANC) won seven of them while the Democratic Alliance (DA) won six.
The ANC won the Abaqulusi Municipality Ward 21 seat from the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) while the DA won the Hessequa Municipality Ward 4 seat from the ANC.

- Intsika Yethu Municipality Ward 18 : Lusanda Makade (75.67%)
- Johannesburg Municipality Ward 50: Bheki Mgaga (71.74%)
- Johannesburg Municipality Ward 22: Nkosephayo God-Slove Zungu (73.32%)
- Okhahlamba Municipality Ward 4: Manqoba Herbert Hlatshwayo (35.03%)
- Abaqulusi Municipality Ward 21: Nkosinathi Clement Mkhwanazi (49.89%)
- Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality Ward 6: Sibusiso Nicholus Dube (87.11%)
- Msukaligwa Municipality Ward 13: Zacharia Kenny Dhludhlu (61.97%)
By-elections won by the DA
- Beyers Naude Municipality Ward 2: Ricardo Llewellyn Smith (78.52%)
- Rand West City Municipality Ward 8: Doneven Cloete (50.96%)
- Sol Plaatjie Municipality Ward 28: Herbert Bassil Japhta (54.97%)
- Stellenbosch Municipality Ward 9: Zelda Julia Dalling (98.70%)
- Hessequa Municipality Ward 4: Gerald Leonard Boezak (54.93%)
- George Municipality Ward 18: Donovan Gultig (74.34%)
